Can I join Olivette Sustainability Advocates (OSA) if I don't live in Olivette?

Yes!  While our work focuses on initiatives for Olivette, we are happy to have residents from other municipalities join us!  We can all learn from each other and work on sustainability topics that benefit the broader STL region.

Is OSA a 501c3 or 501c4?

No, Olivette Sustainability Advocates is not a 501(c)(3) or 501 (c)(4).
We are an independent community organization run by community members who are passionate about sustainability and want to improve our environment.

Is OSA part of Olivette City government?

No, we are an independent, community-led organization that is not part of a department or committee in Olivette's city government.  We do partner with the City of Olivette on many of our educational programs and we are grateful for the partnerships we have established with the Olivette Parks and Recreation and Olivette Planning and Community Development.

What can I recycle in my curbside bin?

Keep your recycling clean and dry.  Never place recycling into plastic bags.

How do I recycle or dispose of other items (electronics, hazardous items, etc)?

Earth 911 has a comprehensive listing of options and locations for hard-to-recycle items.

Olivette also hosts an annual electronics recycling and paper shredding event.
